The State Attorney General's Office (FGE) has successfully rescued 21 women who were reportedly victims of human trafficking in the municipalities of Othón P. Blanco and Bacalar. The rescue operations targeted bars where these women were being exploited and coerced into providing sexual services for money.
In a joint effort, federal and state authorities participated in the rescue operations. They secured the establishments where these activities were taking place and ensured the safe transportation of the liberated women. The women were then taken to give their statements, providing crucial information to aid in further investigations.
