Mérida, Yucatán — The full program for the Yucatán International Fair Xmatkuil 2025 has been presented, featuring artistic spectacles, sporting events, cultural activities, specialized exhibits, and recreation for all ages. The fair, which will run from November 7 to November 30, is also expected to draw more than three million visitors.
Acting on behalf of Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena, the Director General of the Instituto Promotor de Ferias de Yucatán, Alberto Basulto Soberanis, announced that this edition will feature three main stages located at the Centro de Espectáculos Montejo, the Teatro del Pueblo, and the Palenque.
Event Details and Ticketing
During a press conference held at the Centro de Convenciones Yucatán Siglo XXI, it was explained that the general admission cost will be 35 pesos, with parking available for 45 pesos. Tickets can be purchased online to expedite entry via a QR code, or at the fairground's box offices.
The "Gran Vaquería" will be held on November 7, starting at 7:00 PM. The event will feature a procession from the Plaza Izamal, where "jaraneros" from different parts of the state, accompanied by their orchestras, will proceed to the Teatro del Pueblo to gather and form one of the largest and most attended traditional dance floors in Yucatán.
Concert and Performance Lineup
The Palenque will host performances by Emmanuel, Mijares, Turbulence with Burrita Burrona, Mactá and Nani Namu, as well as Flans and Pandora as part of their national tour.
More than 40 events with national and local artists are scheduled for the Teatro del Pueblo. The lineup includes Super Lamas, Paleto, Chico Che Chico, Nelson Kanzela, Más Kumbia, Súper Caracoles, Alfredo el Pulpo y sus teclados, Master Kumbia, Junior Klan, Chapa Show, and Mactá and Nani Namu, among others. The schedule also includes cultural activities, bodybuilding events, and activations with radio stations.
Twelve concerts are planned for the Centro de Espectáculos Montejo, featuring artists such as Air Supply, Matute, Proyecto Uno, AB Quintanilla with Los Kumbia All Starz, Ana Bárbara and Joss Álvarez, Molotov, Jorge Medina and Josi Cuen, El Malilla, Wisin, Auténticos Decadentes, El Gran Silencio, Edwin Luna, La Trakalosa de Monterrey, La Caprichosa, Lara Campos, and Gloria Trevi.
Embajadora Xmatkuil 2025 Pageant
The head of the Secretaría de las Juventudes, Alan Padrón Albornoz, highlighted that, by initiative of the governor, the Embajadora Xmatkuil 2025 pageant is being held for the second consecutive year to establish itself as one of the most representative and anticipated events in the state.
He stated that this contest celebrates the essence of Yucatán and serves as a platform that strengthens the social fabric, unites communities, creates support networks, and showcases the talent, intelligence, and leadership of women.
It was noted that the first semifinal of the contest was recently held in the municipality of Ticul. The next semifinal will take place on October 11 in Tizimín, followed by a third on October 18 in Progreso. The grand final will be held on October 25 at the Centro de Convenciones Yucatán Siglo XXI.
