Workshops and Concerts to Preserve Maya Language in Quintana Roo
The plan contemplates the realization of cultural workshops and concerts in Maya language at the venues of the Fábrica de Artes y Oficios (FARO) in Cancún and Chetumal, with the objective of generating spaces for learning, creation, and vindication of Maya identity in Quintana Roo.
According to the project coordination, four workshops and one concert will be offered at each venue, aimed at adolescents, youth, adults, and older adults, fostering intergenerational dialogue and the preservation of a millennial culture.
“The entire citizenry is invited to join and be part of a learning community that remembers our heritage as a state and as a living culture,” stated Natividad Ballado Poot.
