Playa del Carmen, MX — Quetzal Tzab González, a representative of the Movimiento Indígena Peninsular, has been named a Consejero de Latinoamérica y el Caribe de los Pueblos Indígenas by the Grupo Ceiba. The appointment occurred during the Cumbre Internet de Pueblos Indígenas, which was held in Cali, Colombia.

González was the sole representative from Mexico to attend the summit, which focused on the theme of the Green Economy. He stated that the experience gained will be reflected in Quintana Roo through a series of workshops subsidized by the Banco Interamericano para el Desarrollo.

He announced that the first workshops, offered by the Universidad Iberoamericana, will begin in the second week of November.

He emphasized that the workshops will focus on the application of artificial intelligence to problem-solving. Participants are required to arrive with a specific environmental problem to be addressed using artificial intelligence. González clarified that these workshops are intended for individuals interested in environmental conservation.
