Estefanía Mercado Leading the Charge Against Potholes in Solidaridad

Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, November 11, 2024 – Municipal President Estefanía Mercado has reaffirmed her commitment to improving road conditions in Solidaridad. She stated that the pothole-filling teams will be working tirelessly every day, starting early in the morning, until the current road situation is resolved.

During a recent inspection tour on Constituyentes Avenue, Mercado acknowledged the hard work of the Municipal Public Services and Infrastructure and Public Works departments. These teams have been making steady progress in tackling the road issues, which have been exacerbated by a prolonged rainy season and years of neglect.

Mercado praised the efforts of the pothole-filling teams, stating, "They are making a positive impact on Solidaridad. Their work is carried out daily on the city's main avenues, before moving on to secondary roads." She also expressed her gratitude to the local community for their patience during the necessary road closures.

Mercado reiterated her pledge to continue working at full capacity to create a pothole-free Solidaridad. She also announced plans for a comprehensive repaving project across the city once the current emergency is resolved. This initiative aims to prevent both residents and tourists from being affected by poor road conditions. "We are looking forward to a 2025 filled with paving work," she added.
