Woman Suspected of Fatally Shooting Man Outside Cancun Apartment Building

Cancun, Quintana Roo — A man was killed in a shooting outside his apartment building in Cancun’s Villas Otoch Paraiso neighborhood, with preliminary reports indicating a woman may have been the shooter.

The attack occurred in front of a residential building in superblock 259 of the Villas Otoch Paraiso subdivision, where the victim reportedly lived. Neighbors alerted authorities after hearing gunshots, and private paramedics who responded found the man dead at the scene with no vital signs.

Initial reports indicate the victim sustained at least two gunshot wounds and died near the entrance to his building.

Woman Suspected as Shooter

According to preliminary information gathered at the scene, a woman is suspected of carrying out the shooting. Witnesses described the alleged attacker as having curly hair and said she was accompanied by a man wearing a black shirt.

Both suspects fled the area after the attack, prompting a search operation by security personnel. Authorities have not officially confirmed the identities of the attackers or the motive for the crime, though this information forms part of the initial investigation.

Authorities Secure Scene

Police officers cordoned off the area to allow forensic experts and investigators to collect ballistic evidence and gather witness statements. Family members of the deceased man also arrived at the scene and spoke with authorities during the investigation.
