Playa del Carmen, Mexico — A man took his own life in the Villas del Sol subdivision, where his wife found him hanging from the wrought-iron gate of their home upon returning from work. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. today on Halcón Peregrino Street near Avenida Loros.
Tragic Discovery and Emergency Response
The woman, arriving home after her shift, immediately called emergency services (911) upon discovering her partner suspended by a cable around his neck. Paramedics from Civil Protection arrived but confirmed the man had no vital signs.
Municipal police officers secured the scene and initiated an investigation, though the motives behind the suicide remain unknown. Forensic experts from the State Attorney General’s Office later removed the body and interviewed the widow.
