Tulum, Quintana Roo — Tulum Mayor Diego Castañón Trejo has recognized the work, commitment, and dedication of women serving in municipal public roles, emphasizing their crucial contribution to the city’s development and citizen welfare.
In a statement issued during Women’s Month, the mayor expressed admiration for their daily efforts, highlighting the importance of their active participation in serving residents.
“You are hardworking women, and we will always care because you are very important to us. You look out for citizens, you stay attentive, and all that must be valued—we value it immensely,” Castañón said.
He urged them to continue working with the same commitment and vocation that characterizes them, acknowledging the value of their identity and institutional representation.
“I ask you to continue like this, working with that unique and special way that women have, to keep pushing forward and honor the uniform you wear, representing one of the most important municipalities in world tourism,” he added.
The mayor also noted that women’s effort and dedication have been fundamental in achieving positive results in priority areas like security.
“You are warriors, and we value you greatly; the work you do is part of the good results we’ve had in security,” Castañón affirmed.
