“Breaking News: Tulum Airport Slashes Tariffs for Transport Operators!”

The Tourism Department of Quintana Roo has announced a reduction in tariffs for occasional access to the federal zone dedicated to tourist land transportation at Tulum International Airport. This change, effective from August 7, is the result of efforts by Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa and the airport administration.

These new tariffs will be applicable to businesses providing pre-booked services. This includes travel agencies and timeshare companies operating within this popular tourist destination. To access the federal zone and offer their services, these tourist transportation companies must be properly established as Mexican commercial societies, as per current regulations.

The revised tariffs, effective from August 11, 2024, for a period of eight months, are as follows: 100 pesos for tourist transportation cars, 150 pesos for vans, 200 pesos for minibuses, and 400 pesos for buses.

This measure aims to reassure both domestic and international tourists that transportation service providers at the airport are fully accredited. The tariff adjustment is part of Quintana Roo government's ongoing efforts to ensure competitive and high-quality service at the airport. The goal is to offer more affordable and fair pricing for the multitude of tourists arriving at Tulum International Airport.
