Playa del Carmen, Mexico — Two taxis from the “Lázaro Cárdenas del Río” union were involved in a dramatic collision this afternoon, leaving three people injured. The incident occurred around 5 p.m. at the intersection of Avenida 130 and Calle 12 in the Ejido neighborhood.
Details of the Accident
According to witnesses, taxi number 1840 was traveling along Avenida 130 when it was intercepted by another taxi at Calle 12, resulting in a side impact. The forceful collision caused injuries to a young woman and two other female passengers inside the taxi.
Emergency responders from Civil Protection arrived shortly after the crash to assess the injured. None of the victims required hospitalization. Traffic authorities from the local transit department documented the incident.
The drivers of both taxis later reached an agreement through their insurance providers.
