Tizimín, Yucatán — The Tizimín Fairgrounds were filled with color, music, and emotion on the evening of Saturday, October 11, for the official presentation of the aspiring queens for the 2026 Tizimín Fair. The event was held within the framework of the second semifinal of the 2025 Queen of the Xmatkuil Fair Pageant.
The proud Tizimín public dressed in red to support their local representative, Jimena Johana Pacheco Martín, who shared the stage with three other young women who also symbolize the strength, elegance, and tradition of the Land of Kings.
The Aspiring Queens
- Nancy Cutiz: A graduate with a degree in Biology and an Optometrist. She represents the strength and joy that reflect the heart of an authentic Tizimín woman. Her energy illuminates every step, reminding us that the essence of Tizimín lives in the smile of its people.
- Esmeralda May: A graduate in Public Accounting and Finance. She is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Fiscal and Tax Law. She represents the elegance that flourishes with pride and tradition. She embodies the grace of a generation that honors its roots and keeps the beauty of its culture alive.
- Alexa Vallejos: A student of Education. She represents the light that inspires the heart of the land. With charisma and sweetness, she symbolizes the hope and unity that strengthen the Tizimín soul.
Each of the participants demonstrated poise, grace, and pride in their roots. Nancy Cutiz stood out for her joy and energy; Esmeralda May captivated with her elegance and respect for Yucatecan culture; while Alexa Vallejos reflected sweetness and confidence, inspiring the audience with her charisma.
Official Presence and Community Support
The event was attended by state and municipal authorities, including representatives from the State Government and Mayor Adrián Quiroz Osorio, who reaffirmed their commitment to promoting spaces that strengthen cultural identity and female empowerment.
Despite low initial attendance, the fairgrounds demonstrated support with applause, red balloons, and banners, including one bearing the name "Jime," in a display that reflected the community's unity and enthusiasm.
Path to the Final
The presentation of the aspiring queens from Tizimín is part of the process leading to the grand final of the 2025 Xmatkuil Ambassador Pageant. The final will be held on October 25 at the Siglo XXI Convention Center in Mérida, as part of the 2025 Yucatán International Fair, Xmatkuil.
With this participation, Tizimín reaffirms its pride, its young talent, and its commitment to preserving the traditions that distinguish the Land of Kings throughout Yucatán.
