Chetumal, Quintana Roo — A taxi driver, identified only by his unit number 1137 and belonging to the Sindicato Único de Choferes de Automóviles de Alquiler (SUCHAA), has been reported on social media after an incident involving verbal aggression and threats against a female driver on the streets of Chetumal.

According to the victim's account, the events occurred on Avenida Erick Paolo Martínez, between Avenidas Javier Rojo Gómez and Nicolás Bravo. The woman reported that the taxi driver harassed her while she was driving, making offensive gestures and showing her the middle finger.

The conflict escalated when, near the intersection with Avenida Nicolás Bravo, the taxi driver intentionally cut her off, took photographs, and threatened her with intimidating phrases such as, "I'm going to have you taken," insinuating actions related to disappearance.

"It made me angry because I never did anything to him, and without reason he assaulted me with his gestures and threats. I was able to take photos of the taxi before reaching Avenida Nicolás Bravo. It is frustrating that, for being a woman, we have to put up with this type of aggressive and humiliating behavior, especially from some taxi drivers," the affected woman shared in her public complaint.

In light of these events, the driver has decided to file a formal complaint with the State Attorney General's Office so that the responsible party can be investigated and sanctioned. The taxi driver has not yet been fully identified by the authorities.
