Playa del Carmen, Mexico — The State Attorney General's Office has secured formal charges against six individuals for their alleged involvement in crimes against public health, specifically low-level drug trafficking, after presenting evidence before different control judges.
Details of the Cases
In the first case, a judge ordered the formal charging of Luis Jardiel “N” for the supply of marijuana, and of Raymundo “N” for possession with intent to supply methamphetamine and ecstasy. Both individuals were arrested in the act in the Luis Donaldo Colosio neighborhood and will remain under the precautionary measure of justified pre-trial detention.
In a second hearing, Iván “N” and Remigio “N” were formally charged after being detained in the Las Palmas 1 neighborhood in possession of marijuana. The judge ruled their detention as legal and ordered them to be held in pre-trial detention while the judicial process continues.
Finally, César “N” and Luis Alberto “N” were detained on 25th North Avenue and 12th North Street in the Gonzalo Guerrero neighborhood and also received formal charging orders for crimes against public health. Both will face the judicial process under the precautionary measure of justified pre-trial detention.
The State Attorney General's Office reiterated its commitment to combating low-level drug trafficking and strengthening security in the municipality of Solidaridad through coordinated investigative actions and operations.
