Evidence seized during a drug raid in Playa del Carmen, including suspected marijuana and crystal meth.

Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — A joint operation led by the State Prosecutor’s Office resulted in the seizure of suspected drugs and the arrest of six people during a raid in the Luis Donaldo Colosio neighborhood.

Agents from the Prosecutor’s Office coordinated with the Mexican Army, National Guard, and Playa del Carmen’s Public Security Department to execute a search warrant issued by a judge.

The operation targeted a property on 25th Avenue North, between 50th and 52nd North streets. Authorities seized green and dry plant material resembling marijuana, as well as white granular fragments similar to the drug known as “piedra” or crystal meth.

During the raid, police arrested six individuals—three men and three women—identified as Francisco Javier “N”, Jesús David “N”, Irvin Alexis “N”, Vianey Gissele “N”, Damaris Selene “N”, and Cinthia Yulet “N”. Officers also found additional doses of suspected marijuana and white solid fragments on the detainees.

After completing the operation, authorities sealed the property. The suspects and evidence were turned over to the Prosecutor’s Office, which will open an investigation to determine their legal status.
