Sectur’s Tulum to Punta Allen Winter Excursion

Sectur promotes Tulum and Punta Allen destinations in Quintana Roo

Quintana Roo, Mexico — The Ministry of Tourism (Sectur) has promoted nationally one of the most attractive excursions for this winter vacation season: a journey from Tulum to Punta Allen, an ideal trip for those seeking nature, adventure, and connection with the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve.

Sectur Drives Ecotourism Route Between Tulum, Sian Ka’an and Punta Allen

Through its social media channels, Sectur highlights that the route invites visitors to experience 60 kilometers of landscapes combining jungle, wetlands, lagoons, and practically virgin beaches.

The journey begins at Muyil Lagoon and continues toward Boca Paila Bridge, an emblematic point that separates the Caribbean from the wetlands and where it is common to observe crocodiles in their natural habitat.

Once inside Sian Ka’an, declared a World Heritage Site for its biodiversity, the path transforms into an essential part of the experience: endless mangroves, migratory birds, and crystalline estuaries that reflect the sky.

Nature, Culture and Tranquility in Punta Allen

The excursion culminates in Punta Allen, a fishing village of approximately 400 inhabitants where the sea takes on a different tone and absolute calm prevails.

Its nearly virgin beaches, traditional lighthouse, and rustic piers create an authentic atmosphere, reinforced by cuisine based on sustainable fishing.

Visitors can tour the area by boat to observe dolphins, turtles, and rays, in addition to walking trails surrounded by coastal jungle.

Finally, Sectur reiterated that this destination invites visitors to experience responsible and conscious tourism, respecting the delicate natural wealth of the Riviera Maya.
