Quintana Roo’s Christmas Weather: Rain and Warm Temperatures

Forecast of cloudy sky and rains for December 25 in Quintana Roo, with warm temperatures.

Cancun – On December 25, 2025, Quintana Roo is preparing for a Christmas with cloudy skies and the probability of strong, localized rains in various areas, accompanied by a warm environment. The Quintana Roo State Civil Protection Coordination (Coeproc) reports the entry of moisture from the Caribbean Sea.

The combination of this moisture and a low-pressure channel will cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies throughout the day. Intervals of showers with rainfall of 25 to 50 mm are expected, as well as winds with gusts of up to 50 km/h. Fog banks could appear in rural and urban areas and on highways.

In Cancún, isolated rains and showers are forecast with maximum temperatures of 29 to 31 °C and minimums of 22 to 24 °C. Playa del Carmen and Tulum also expect isolated rains and showers, with similar maximums and slightly lower minimums. Cozumel, on the other hand, does not estimate rains, with temperatures of 26 to 28 °C.

Municipalities such as Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Othón P. Blanco (Chetumal) will register showers with possible electrical activity, with maximums of 30 to 32 °C and minimums of 17 to 23 °C, maintaining the warm environment characteristic of the region.
