Quintana Roo, Mexico — The Undersecretary of Planning and Tourism Development for Quintana Roo, Andrés Aguilar Becerril, announced that with the launch of the "Viajes por el Mundo Maya" catalog, which includes 42 tourist experiences, an international promotion stage will begin, undoubtedly benefiting the six cultural tourism-focused projects the state has.
He mentioned that this initiative seeks not only to foster economic development and social inclusion for communities but will also become a tool for well-being and cultural preservation. Essentially, these are tourist products that will provide unique experiences for travelers.
He stated that for its promotion, all international fairs and events will be utilized to give visibility to everything new that the Mexican Caribbean has in its tourism offerings. The idea is for international tourism markets to become acquainted with the "Viajes por el Mundo Maya" catalog.
He indicated that concurrently, the Maya Train will also be promoted, and the Tulum airport will be leveraged so that tourists have the opportunity to learn about the experiences that are part of the catalog, among them the Ruta Guerra de Castas.
He added that, beyond the number of tourists these experiences will generate, the most important aspect is the well-being it will bring to the region, as well as all the actions focused on cultural preservation and natural resources.
