QUINTANA ROO, Mexico — The government of Quintana Roo has established multiple collection centers across the state to gather aid for victims affected by recent flooding in various parts of Mexico. The initiative is a direct response to the heavy rains that have caused significant damage in several states.
Through social media, Governor Mara Lezama and the State Government issued a solidarity appeal to the residents of Quintana Roo, urging them to contribute to the drive and send support to those affected in Veracruz, Hidalgo, Puebla, Querétaro, and San Luis Potosí.
Locations of Collection Centers in Quintana Roo
The Government of Quintana Roo, via its social media channels, provided the addresses and locations where collection centers have been set up for donations from the public. The centers will be open Monday through Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., starting October 12.
The state-wide collection centers are as follows:
- DIF Estatal: Av. Adolfo López Mateos 441. Col. Campestre, C.P. 77060, Chetumal.
- Rep. Zona Centro: AV. 115, between Calle 13 and 15 Sur, Plaza Isla Ceiba Forjadores, Playa del Carmen, C.P. 77716.
- Rep. Zona Norte: Calle 44 Poniente Mza-76 Lt 3, Región 94, C.P. 77500, between Talleres and Av. Miguel Hidalgo, Cancún.
In partnership with the state, municipal DIF systems are also participating:

Requested Donation Items for Mexican Flood Victims
A list of needed products was also shared for donation to be sent to the victims in Veracruz, Hidalgo, Puebla, Querétaro, and San Luis Potosí. The requested items are:
- Sleeping Pads
- Cots
- Bottled Water
- Cleaning Kits: Brooms, Disinfectants
- Personal Hygiene Kits
- Diapers (for girls, boys, and adults)
- Sanitary Towels
- Non-Perishable Food: Tuna/Sardines/Canned Vegetables and Legumes/Rice/Sugar/Beans/Soup/Lentils/Milk and Baby Food
- Dewormers and Oral Rehydration Salts
- Toilet Paper
- Pet Food
