Cancún, QRoo — The Quintana Roo Secretary of Education has confirmed that there will be a suspension of work this coming Monday, November 3, due to an adjustment to the school calendar for the Day of the Dead observance.
The extended holiday break will begin on Friday, October 31, and conclude on Monday, November 3. Students at the basic education level will return to classes on Tuesday, November 4, according to the official school calendar.
This measure is intended to allow Quintana Roo families to enjoy the celebrations and traditions of the Day of the Dead without interruption. More than 300,000 basic education students in Quintana Roo will be able to enjoy this extended holiday break.
The suspension of work and classes will enable families to gather to honor their loved ones and enjoy the festivities in an atmosphere of tranquility and unity. The Day of the Dead is one of the most important celebrations in Mexico, and Quintana Roo is no exception.
