Quintana Roo, Mexico — The political organization “Que Siga la Democracia” has fulfilled its assembly goal in Quintana Roo and is now fewer than 70 assemblies away from meeting the national requirement set by the National Electoral Institute (INE) to become a political party, consolidating its territorial growth and citizen support.

Edgar Garza Ancira, national president of the group, stated that after meeting their district assembly target in Quintana Roo, they are strengthening their territorial advancement as a new political force.

Garza Ancira highlighted the national progress of “Que Siga la Democracia” toward its registration as a party. He said that following the most recent district assembly, which was recently registered and validated by INE representatives, full legal certainty is granted to the process, reaffirming the timely fulfillment of requirements established by electoral authorities.

“It is a fact that our organization will become a National Political Party,” Garza Ancira indicated. “We are advancing firmly in holding our District Assemblies, not only in Quintana Roo but in various states of the Republic. Today we are in countdown mode—we are fewer than 70 assemblies away from meeting the goal of 200 established by the INE.”

The organization is fewer than 70 assemblies away from achieving the INE requirement. He thanked citizen support, noting that this is a project born from the people, inclusive and committed to a living and participatory democracy—a movement that he affirmed promotes social organization, justice, equality, and permanent citizen participation in public decisions.

Meanwhile, Leonel Castillo Presenda, president of the organization in Quintana Roo, acknowledged social backing in the state and called for continuing to strengthen this citizen project.

Militants and supporters participated in the most recent district assembly validated by the INE in Quintana Roo.

“This last assembly represents an enormous citizen effort, as we managed to meet the goal in Quintana Roo, which allows us to advance locally and nationally,” Castillo Presenda stated. “Today we take a firm step so that ‘Que Siga la Democracia’ consolidates as a new political force in Mexico, built from the ground up with direct citizen participation.”

Finally, he shared that direct affiliation can be done through the ‘Apoyo Ciudadano del INE’ application by following these steps: download the app on your cellphone, select ‘Que Siga la Democracia’ as the organization, and fill in your data and take a photo.
