Cancún, Quintana Roo — Police mobilized near Cancún’s General Hospital on Wednesday afternoon following a report of a violent robbery, with preliminary information linking the incident to the theft of a high-end Rolex watch from a businessman at Plaza Las Américas.
According to unofficial accounts, the victim was assaulted by individuals traveling on an FT-type motorcycle. After the robbery, the suspects reportedly abandoned the motorcycle in the hospital’s parking lot and fled the area.
Witnesses observed between five and seven FRIM patrol vehicles at the scene, with officers conducting searches in the vicinity. However, sources indicated the suspects managed to escape, allegedly in view of authorities. One witness mentioned seeing a man walking with a helmet in hand, though this detail initially drew little attention.
Authorities have not yet released official information regarding any arrests or the value of the stolen property.
