Cancún, Quintana Roo — Police arrested a suspected drug dealer and recovered a stolen motorcycle during a patrol in a residential area of Cancún.

Officers from the Municipal Public Security Department detained José Iván “N” in the Supermanzana 249 neighborhood while conducting routine surveillance. They found him handling small transparent bags containing substances resembling narcotics.

During a preventive inspection, police discovered 57 bags of green, dry herb believed to be marijuana and 36 bags of a granular substance similar to crystal meth. They also checked a black Italika motorcycle nearby and confirmed it had an active theft report, leading to the immediate arrest.

Authorities reported that the suspect allegedly admitted to independently selling drugs without ties to criminal groups, though this claim will be verified during the investigation.

Police handed José Iván “N” over to the Quintana Roo State Prosecutor’s Office, where an investigation file will be opened and his legal status determined.
