Playa del Carmen, Mexico — The municipal president of Playa del Carmen has confirmed the city’s participation in the 49th edition of Mexico’s Tianguis Turístico 2025, to be held in Rosarito, Baja California, from April 28 to May 1.
Exclusive Stand to Highlight Local Attractions
The mayor emphasized that Playa del Carmen will have a dedicated stand within the Quintana Roo Pavilion, where the destination’s attractions will be promoted. The initiative will also strengthen the promotion of the city’s brand and the “Let’s Playa” app, alongside locally made products under the “Hechos en Playa” label.
Business meetings have already been confirmed with tour operators, wholesalers, travel agents, event organizers, and other tourism-related agencies.
Shifting from All-Inclusive to Inclusive Tourism
“Beyond sun and beach, we will introduce Mexico and the world to the Playa del Carmen City Brand as a tourism product aimed at strengthening the destination’s identity,” the mayor stated. “This is part of a strategy to move from ‘All Inclusive’ to ‘Todos Incluidos’ (Everyone Included), ensuring that the wealth generated by tourism benefits more than just one sector.”
New Thematic Guides and Regional Alliances
Municipal Tourism Secretary Estefanía Hernández announced that the event will serve as a platform to launch new thematic guides, including:
- The Sea and Fishing Route
- The Pet-Friendly Route
- The Cenotes and Caverns Route
- The Art Route
- The Honey and Jungle Route
Hernández added that the delegation will seek strategic alliances with nearby destinations in Quintana Roo and the Yucatán Peninsula to promote a regional tourism model that benefits Playa del Carmen and the broader area.
The city’s participation underscores its commitment to diversifying its tourism offerings and fostering equitable economic growth.
