Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — The Solidaridad municipal government, through its Municipal Health Department, will hold a new edition of the “Wellness Within Your Reach” program on Monday, May 18, offering free medical services to local families.
The initiative is part of the municipal administration’s “Prosperity for All” strategy, aiming to provide residents of working-class neighborhoods with access to basic consultations, specialized guidance, and preventive checkups without straining household budgets.
Free Services for the Whole Family
During the event, medical staff and specialists will offer free care in several areas, including:
- General medical consultations
- Nursing care and vital sign checks
- Basic dental exams
- Nutritional counseling
- Psychological support
- Paramedic assessment and first aid guidance
Additionally, blood glucose tests, blood pressure measurements, weight and height checks, and preventive advice for conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and obesity will be available.
Where and When
The service module will be set up at the Poliforum of Playa del Carmen, located on Avenida Benito Juárez between 115th and 105th South Avenues in the Ejido neighborhood.
Services will be provided on Monday, May 18, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Authorities recommend attendees wear comfortable clothing and bring their national health card if they require follow-up care or preventive records.
Prevention and Community Health
The Playa del Carmen government emphasized that such campaigns aim to strengthen a culture of prevention and bring basic health services to areas with high population demand.
The Municipal Health Department reiterated that early detection of diseases can significantly improve quality of life and prevent future complications.
