Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — The Playa del Carmen government, led by Municipal President Estefanía Mercado, is strengthening ties of collaboration with union organizations and the business sector through the Secretariat of Citizen Security, with the objective of continuing to work in favor of the security of the municipality’s citizens.

In this context, the head of the Secretariat of Citizen Security of Playa del Carmen, Carlos Alberto Montesinos, held a meeting with the state leader of the CROC, Martín de la Cruz Gómez, to exchange experiences in security matters and discuss actions that allow for reinforcing the protection of people, their property, and economic activity.

During the encounter, the Secretary of Citizen Security indicated that this type of meeting is fundamental because it allows for advancing toward greater security in the municipality, by listening to different voices and strengthening the strategies applied in the territory.

For his part, the state leader of the CROC highlighted that, according to what personnel working in evening and night shifts have expressed to him, there is currently a greater sensation of security, which is reflected in the more constant presence of police elements in the streets.

Both parties agreed on the importance of maintaining permanent communication and continuing to work in a coordinated manner so that these actions translate into greater tranquility for citizens.

The Playa del Carmen government reaffirms its commitment to continue working in favor of Playa families, to consolidate a safer municipality, in peace, and with better living conditions.
