Win 50,000 Pesos in Othón P. Blanco’s 2025 Christmas Contest

QUINTANA ROO, Mexico — The municipality of Othón P. Blanco has initiated registration for its upcoming "Christmas Houses 2025" contest, offering a grand prize of 50,000 pesos to the winning team. The competition is part of the holiday activities being organized across several municipalities in Quintana Roo.

According to a publication on the Othón P. Blanco municipal government's Facebook page, the contest to build Christmas houses will be held on December 4 at the Parque de la Alameda, starting at 6:00 p.m. The awards ceremony is scheduled for December 6.

The prize structure for the contest is as follows:

  • First Place: 50,000 pesos
  • Second Place: 20,000 pesos
  • Third Place: 10,000 pesos

Rules and Requirements for the Christmas Houses 2025 Contest in QROO

Individuals interested in participating in the Othón P. Blanco Christmas Houses 2025 contest must form teams with a maximum of 10 people. Registrations must be completed in person at the Public Relations Offices, with a final deadline of December 2 at 11:59 p.m.

Registration can also be completed by sending a WhatsApp message to 9831344525. Participants will then be given a form to fill out with their personal details.

The requirements for the houses are:

  • The house must have a Christmas theme, and the concept is free-form.
  • The house must be constructed within a space measuring 2.50 x 1.50 x 1.8 meters high.
  • Participants may use any materials and decorations for their Christmas house.

Criteria for Evaluating the Christmas Houses 2025 Construction

According to information provided by the Quintana Roo authorities, several factors will be considered when judging the Christmas houses built in Othón P. Blanco.

The evaluation criteria include:

  • Theft or destruction of exhibited property and materials is prohibited.
  • Those who break the rules will be sanctioned.
  • Any materials and decorations may be used.
  • The houses will be on display for the entire month of December and must be removed on January 6.
