In a lively atmosphere filled with music and enjoyment, municipal president Estefanía Mercado crowned the sovereigns of the Puerto Aventuras "People's Carnival" 2025. The newly crowned sovereigns are Jeremmy Jissele and Demmys Ariel. The event also saw the crowning of kings and queens from various categories including children, disabled, elderly, youths, and joy. The ceremony took place at the new Civic Plaza and was attended by hundreds of local residents.
Before the coronation, the attendees enjoyed a parade featuring allegorical cars and troupes that traveled through the main roads of the community. The parade included the placement of bands for the children's kings and queens, Vanesa Yamileth and José Armando; disabled, Katia Guadalupe and Carlos Alejandro; elderly, Estelita and Limbano; diversity, Marina and Alex Adrian; youths, Pilar Alejandra and Junior Sánchez, and joy, Jaqueline Álvarez.
During the coronation, municipal president Estefanía Mercado expressed her gratitude for the participation of the youth and families who attended the town party. She also hinted at the upcoming 2026 Carnival, promising more surprises and better things for the people of Puerto Aventuras.
In her speech, President Mercado stated that dance, culture, and love are the universal languages that enrich the soul. She added that when people are dancing and singing, they are enjoying themselves and any sadness within the soul is forgotten.
