Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — A collision between a motorcycle and a private vehicle occurred at midday on Saturday at a busy intersection in Playa del Carmen, causing property damage and prompting a police response.

The incident happened on Constituyentes Avenue, heading west, at the intersection with Lilis Avenue.

According to initial reports, the motorcyclist had the right of way on Constituyentes when the driver of a red car attempted a U-turn, allegedly entering the motorcyclist’s lane.

After the maneuver, the motorcyclist struck the rear side of the vehicle, causing the motorcycle to fall onto the pavement.

The impact was significant enough to damage the car’s rear tire, while the motorcycle leaked fluids and showed visible structural damage.

The motorcyclist’s helmet and some personal belongings were scattered at the scene.

Police officers arrived to document the incident and determine responsibility.

The severity of the motorcyclist’s injuries has not been confirmed, though the crash caused temporary traffic disruption in the area.

Preliminary information suggests the car driver may not have insurance, though authorities must confirm this detail.
