Quintana Roo, Mexico — Mobile medical units will offer free healthcare services across several municipalities from November 10 to November 14, strengthening access to basic services.

For five consecutive days, the mobile health units will travel through the municipalities of Playa del Carmen, Felipe Carrillo Puerto, and Bacalar in Quintana Roo, as part of the national program "Salud para Tod@s" (Health for All). The initiative aims to bring specialized medical care and prevention to remote communities, prioritizing the social well-being of the local population.

The health drive will include general and specialized consultations, laboratory tests, X-rays, ultrasounds, and dental, visual, and auditory care services, in addition to nutritional advice and the distribution of free medications.

Since its inception in April 2023, the mobile health strategy has managed to provide care to more than half a million people, establishing itself as one of the most relevant actions of the state government to promote preventive health. The program seeks to diminish barriers to accessing medical care, especially in rural and dispersed rural areas, and to strengthen health rights across the entire state of Quintana Roo.

With the presence of ambulances for emergency transfers and simple requirements such as the presentation of a voter ID (INE) and CURP (Unique Population Registry Code), the caravans guarantee rapid and effective care to those most in need. The presence of these units reinforces government actions to bring healthcare closer to all citizens, promoting a healthier community.
