Tulum, Quintana Roo — Ansleen Ivonne Pérez Solís, a 13-year-old girl reported missing on the morning of May 9, was located alive on May 11 by agents of the Quintana Roo State Attorney General’s Office. According to preliminary reports from the family, the teenager was found in a private residence accompanied by her alleged boyfriend.

Authorities Persuade Minor to Return Home

The breakthrough in the case came after Ansleen contacted her family via Instagram during an intensive search operation. Her mother, Adela Solís Martínez, recounted the emotional moment: "She sent me a message saying she was fine and wishing me a Happy Mother’s Day. It was heartbreaking."

At approximately 7 p.m., the girl briefly logged into social media, prompting her family to alert authorities immediately. Prosecutors established communication with Ansleen and, after exchanging messages, convinced her to return to her aunt María’s home, where law enforcement officials were waiting.

"Authorities told her that her aunt could face arrest if she didn’t clarify the situation. We even sent her a photo of her aunt in handcuffs to make it believable—it worked," Solís Martínez explained.

Investigation into Alleged Relationship Underway

Following her return, the teenager was taken to the Public Prosecutor’s Office to provide a statement without her parents present. She was then placed under the custody of the DIF (Integral Family Development System) as a protective measure while investigations continue.

The mother expressed suspicions that her daughter was being manipulated by a young man with whom she allegedly had a relationship. "My daughter claims he’s 14, but we doubt that’s true. We saw his Facebook profile—his name is Oxxiel, he has tattoos, but his face isn’t visible," she said. The Attorney General’s Office is working to verify the individual’s identity and age.

Mother Expresses Gratitude Amid Relief

Though no official statement has been released by prosecutors, updates on the case are expected in the coming hours. "It was a nightmare—I felt like I was dying. Thank you to everyone who helped us find her. I hope no other mother has to go through this," Solís Martínez said, visibly moved.

The case highlights ongoing concerns over missing minors in the region, with authorities urging vigilance and prompt reporting of disappearances.
