The Government Secretariat of Mexico City confirmed that more than 600,000 people attended the event led by President Claudia Sheinbaum to celebrate seven years of transformation.
The agency stated that citizens from all states of the country and the 16 boroughs of the city gathered in the Historic Center of the capital.
It emphasized that for the development of the event, a security operation was implemented by the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) and various local agencies.
Preventive patrols, permanent monitoring, and accompaniment actions for attendees were carried out, which allowed for maintaining a safe and convivial environment at all times, the secretariat explained.
“The gathering proceeded in order, with no casualties and without incidents,” it concluded.
