The Mexican Olympic Committee has announced the flag bearers for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Alejandra Orozco and Emiliano Hernandez have been chosen to represent Mexico at the opening ceremony.
Emiliano Hernandez expressed his excitement upon receiving the news. He said, “It is an honor to carry the Mexican flag. I will give 101% in my competition to deliver the performance of my life on the 8th, 9th, and 10th of August. I look forward to representing Mexico with dignity at the inauguration. Let's go all out for Paris, come on Mexico!”
Alejandra Orozco was a clear choice for the role, having already won two Olympic medals. She secured a silver medal at the London 2012 Olympics and a bronze at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, both in the synchronized 10-meter event.
The decision to choose Hernandez was less straightforward. He was up against stiff competition, including diver Osmar Olvera, a double world medal winner and a strong contender for the three-meter event.
With the flag bearers now chosen, final preparations are underway for the highly anticipated Paris 2024 Olympic Games. A strong performance is expected from the Mexican team.
