Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Quintana Roo — Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa has announced a new infrastructure project in Tihosuco, involving an investment of over 14 million 750 thousand pesos. The initiative will construct 13,961 square meters of asphalt concrete, five centimeters thick, to benefit the area's inhabitants, visitors, and a growing number of tourists.
According to a statement, the project also includes 1,016 square meters of sidewalks, 758 linear meters of curbs, and 2,287 square meters of asphalt seal for roadway protection. Collectively, this work will strengthen the infrastructure and improve the urban landscape for the more than 5,000 residents of this historic community, including motorists, cyclists, motorcyclists, and pedestrians.
“And so that visitors can walk peacefully and enjoy Tihosuco, its history with the impressive Church of the Niño Jesús or the Museum of the Caste War, and in doing so benefit the merchants, artisans, and craftspeople,” expressed Governor Mara Lezama.
She added: “Because when corruption is combated, the money goes further and is invested where it is most needed, allowing us to complete this long-awaited construction of roadways. This is how we work in this humanist government, all under the New Agreement for the Well-being and Development of Quintana Roo, where we seek a shared prosperity for all.”
Mara Lezama insisted that, together, transformation is achieved and social well-being is generated in Quintana Roo.
