Cancun, Quintana Roo — Quintana Roo Governor Mara Lezama continues to hold the highest citizen approval rating among all Mexican state governors, according to the latest Mitofsky survey published on the front page of El Economista.
The February 2026 ranking shows Lezama achieved 59.0% approval, surpassing counterparts from states including Querétaro, Aguascalientes, and San Luis Potosí, which round out the top positions.
The study also reflects an increase in public perception compared to January, when Lezama registered 57.6%, confirming an upward trend in evaluations of her administration.
Mitofsky’s analysis indicates 20 governors placed in high approval levels, though not all improved their indicators from the previous month. In this context, Quintana Roo stands out for maintaining consistent national leadership.
This result positions Mara Lezama as one of Mexico’s political figures with strongest citizen support, in a scenario where public opinion has become a key factor in evaluating governmental performance.
