Gang Attack in Cancún Leaves Man Injured

Cancún, Quintana Roo — A violent altercation occurred Thursday afternoon in Cancún’s Supermanzana 102, where a man was beaten by multiple assailants allegedly pursuing him from a nearby residence.

Incident Details

The attack took place on Avenida Francisco I. Madero, Route 4, after witnesses alerted emergency services to an injured individual. Initial reports suggested the victim was a motorcycle thief, but neighbors and eyewitnesses later refuted this claim.

According to accounts, several individuals entered a residence in the area, leading to a confrontation. The victim, a resident of the property, fled to avoid escalation but was chased by the assailants. They caught up with him in Supermanzana 95, where they repeatedly struck him, leaving bloodstains on the sidewalk.

Response and Investigation

Private paramedics treated the victim at the scene, while Public Security officers arrived to document the incident. Authorities advised the injured man to file a formal complaint. No arrests have been made as of the latest update.

The attackers are believed to belong to a local gang known as “Los Chiapasucios.”
