Cozumel Shooting Leaves 2 Dead, Child Injured

Cozumel, Quintana Roo — A violent armed attack on Wednesday afternoon in the 10 de Abril neighborhood resulted in the deaths of two men and left a minor injured by a stray bullet.

Details of the Incident

According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred around 5:00 p.m. on Calle 55, between Avenidas 6 and 8. Witnesses alerted authorities after hearing multiple gunshots. Police officers arrived at the scene and found two men dead—one lying on the sidewalk and another at the entrance of a residence. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.

During the attack, a minor was injured, allegedly by a stray bullet. Unofficial reports indicate the child was immediately transported to a hospital by family members. The minor’s current condition remains unknown.

Suspects Flee the Scene
