Cancún, Quintana Roo – On Saturday night, the Secretariat of Citizen Security reported the arrest of Juan José “N,” identified as a suspect in drug-related crimes, during an operation carried out in the municipality of Benito Juárez.
According to the official report, elements of the Centurion Group, in coordination with personnel from the Secretariat of the Navy, detected a man on foot, hidden behind a parked vehicle, while handling several small transparent plastic bags.
The incident occurred on Paseos Kusamil Avenue, between Tabachín Street and Ébano Circuit, in the subdivision of the same name, superblock 110, where authorities proceeded to conduct an inspection.
During the search, authorities seized one plastic bag and 31 transparent bags containing green plant material with characteristics similar to marijuana, as well as a cell phone and a red Chevrolet Aveo vehicle with Quintana Roo license plates.
The detainee and the seized items were placed at the disposal of the State Attorney General’s Office, which will be responsible for continuing the corresponding investigations and determining his legal status.
