The Gaming & Technology Expo (GAT) is set to make its debut in the lively city of Cancun from November 26 to 28, 2024. This event will unite gaming professionals from Mexico, Central, and South America, creating an unparalleled platform for training, technological innovation, and networking in Mexico's premier beach destination.

Cat Events has joined forces with Ieja, Mexico's leading entertainment and gaming industry association, headed by Miguel Ángel Ochoa. Together, they plan to make Cancun the heart of the gaming world with the GAT Carib Cancún event. As part of this groundbreaking event, Aieja will host its year-end General Assembly on November 26, drawing in members from casino groups, manufacturers, suppliers, online platforms, and significant business partners.

GAT Carib Cancún will focus on the rapidly growing sectors of online casinos, sports betting, and esports. These areas are experiencing exponential growth and are set to revolutionize the digital entertainment industry. The widespread availability of high-speed internet in Mexico has made these games increasingly popular, creating a potential market of over 80 million people with the technological capability to play or bet using mobile devices.

The rising social acceptance of online casinos is encouraging more international operators to penetrate the market, offering Mexican players a wide range of gaming platforms with minimal restrictions. Mexico has a regulatory body, the Ministry of the Interior, which oversees the General Directorate of Games and Draws. With over 230 physical casinos operating in the country, anticipated regulatory enhancements are expected to stimulate further growth by providing greater legal certainty.

Slot machine manufacturers and suppliers interested in exhibiting at GAT Carib Cancún can take advantage of Mexico's Ministry of Economy regulations, which allow for the temporary importation of machinery and equipment tax-free. This process is made easier through a partnership with Aieja.
