Puerto Aventuras, Quintana Roo — In the early hours of Tuesday, September 16, a serious rollover accident occurred on Federal Highway 307 near the Hard Rock Hotel, leaving one man hospitalized with severe injuries.
The crash took place around 6:20 a.m., when the driver of a gray Hyundai Tucson (license plate UUJ-280-M) lost control while heading southbound on the stretch between Playa del Carmen and Puerto Aventuras. According to reports, the driver appeared to be intoxicated and was not wearing a seatbelt.
After veering off a curve just before the hotel, the SUV struck a tree in the center median and flipped over. The driver was thrown around inside the vehicle, sustaining serious injuries.
