Isla Mujeres, Q. Roo — Isla Mujeres is shining at the 7th edition of the National Tianguis of Pueblos Mágicos 2025, where the delegation, headed by the General Directorate of Economic and Tourism Development, is promoting the cultural, gastronomic, and natural wealth of this Magic Town to the world.
The General Director of Economic and Tourism Development, Hernán Magaña Vargas; the Director of Tourism, José Jesús Castillo Magaña; and the First Councilwoman, Isla del Mar Magaña López, President of the Tourism Commission, participated in the Inaugural Ribbon-Cutting of the National Tianguis of Pueblos Mágicos 2025. The event was led by the head of the Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR), Josefina Rodríguez Zamora.
Likewise, the Isla Mujeres Delegation participated in the Inaugural Ribbon-Cutting of the Mexican Caribbean Magic Towns Stands, alongside the head of the Quintana Roo Ministry of Tourism (SEDETUR), Bernardo Cueto Riestra.
Within the framework of this important event, the signing of the Agreement for the Non-Exclusive and Gratuitous Use License of the brand named Pueblos Mágicos also took place. The agreement was signed between SECTUR, SEDETUR, and the municipalities of Isla Mujeres, Bacalar, Tulum, and Cozumel.
Thanks to this signing, Isla Mujeres will be able to use the brand in any type of communication material to promote the destination as a Magic Town, its attractions, and tourist services.
This gathering, considered the premier celebration dedicated to these communities, opened its doors to the public to showcase the cultural, gastronomic, and tourist wealth that distinguishes the 177 localities holding this distinction, including Isla Mujeres.
The presence of Isla Mujeres aims to promote the destination's identity, highlight its cultural and tourist offerings, and maintain the commitment to continue working to consolidate its position as a national and international reference.
During this first day of activities, the municipal committee held meetings with federal authorities, state representatives, and tour operators interested in learning more about Isla Mujeres. The delegation's participation reinforces the municipality's presence in a space designed to foster cultural exchange and tourist promotion.
With this participation, the Isla Mujeres Government reaffirms its commitment to continue promoting strategies that strengthen tourism, generate social well-being, and promote pride in the island's identity.
