The Adriatic Sea witnessed another chapter in the story Isaac del Toro is writing at a speed that even the peloton can't quite grasp. The Mexican conquered the overall classification of Tirreno-Adriatico, one of the most prestigious stage races on the European calendar.

At 22, the UAE Team Emirates rider celebrated his second major World Tour victory in a matter of weeks. In February, he had raised his arms in triumph at the UAE Tour. Now he dominated the so-called "Race of the Two Seas," a stage historically used to test the future stars of the Grand Tours.

A Story with a Happy Ending

The final stage was a sprinter's domain and ended in a frantic sprint in San Benedetto del Tronto. Italian Jonathan Milan won in a photo finish ahead of Australian Samuel Welsford, as the peloton arrived together after a fast and tense urban circuit.

Behind the day's outcome lay the true story of the race. Del Toro crossed the finish line surrounded by his teammates, without needing to attack or take risks. The overall victory was already secured.

The defining moment of the race had come the day before, on the demanding final climb to Camerino. There, the Mexican responded to the attacks and launched an acceleration that shattered the race. Only Matteo Jorgenson managed to stay with him for a few meters before cracking. Del Toro rode solo to the finish line, extending his lead and practically sealing the overall victory.

UAE Team Emirates's performance was flawless throughout the week. They controlled the pace, protected the team in critical moments, and executed a surgical defense of their lead on the final stage.

With this victory, the Mexican has now reached 26 professional wins at just 22 years old, a figure that places him among the youngest cyclists to reach that record in the elite.

In cycling, the biggest races often reveal those destined to make their mark. Tirreno-Adriatico has seen champions from every generation. Now it has a new name on its list.
