Local authorities are preparing to welcome families and tourists to Playa del Carmen this holiday season with a range of festive activities. One of the main attractions will be an ice rink at the esplanade of the July 28th Square.
Estefanía Hernández, the head of the Solidaridad Tourism Secretariat, announced that additional ice rinks will be set up at the Puerto Aventuras town hall and in the Villas del Sol subdivision. These will be accompanied by a robust cultural program and the lighting of the Christmas tree in the July 28th Square, scheduled for this Sunday.
Hernández also highlighted another key event: the illumination of 24 streets along the Fifth Avenue, also known as the "Magical Fifth". This event, planned for December 15th, will involve local merchants, the gastronomy sector, artisans, and producers.
