Candidates for the position of Mayor in Puerto Aventuras have received their official certificates, following successful registration and the resolution of any issues. The certificates were presented by Luis Herrera Quiam, the Municipality's Secretary General and President of the Operating Commission of the Neighborhood Assembly for the Election. The candidates are now eligible to compete in the upcoming election on December 15th.
The candidates include Graciela Isabel Moreno, who represents the White slate, Damaris del Carmen Ortega, representing the Dark Coffee slate, and Gilberto Gómez, representing the Golden slate.
From December 5th at 17:01 until December 11th at 23:59, the candidates will be permitted to campaign within the jurisdiction of Puerto Aventuras.
Based on previous election data, it is anticipated that between 2,000 and 3,000 people will cast their votes. The voting process will be facilitated at three reception tables located in the mayor's office.
For this election, staff from the Quintana Roo Electoral Institute (Ieqroo) have undergone training. Voting will take place from 8:00 to 18:00 on election day.
