Chetumal — With the objective of improving the quality of life for people with hearing disabilities, Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa and the honorary president of Sistema DIF Quintana Roo, Verónica Lezama Espinosa, delivered 20 hearing aids. The devices will benefit 10 individuals in priority situations from the municipalities of Othón P. Blanco, Bacalar, and José María Morelos, as part of the program "Para oírte mejor" (To Hear You Better).
"Upon receiving this support, the beneficiaries return to their homes with the possibility to hear, communicate with their families, and reintegrate into personal, work, academic, and social activities, which represents a new hope and better opportunities for development," expressed the head of the Executive branch.
Mara Lezama explained that these actions reflect the commitment of a humanist government with a feminist heart to transform lives with social justice. In this manner, no one is left out and no one is left behind, and more families will have access to tools that change their daily lives and open doors to well-being.
For her part, the honorary president of DIF Quintana Roo, Verónica Lezama Espinosa, underscored the importance of generating inclusion. "Each hearing aid delivered means restoring the possibility of hearing and, with it, the opportunity to live life to the fullest. We will continue joining efforts for those who need it most," she affirmed.
It is noteworthy that, during the public audience "La Voz del Pueblo" (The Voice of the People) held in July, the Governor and the honorary president of the State DIF, Verónica Lezama, delivered high-technology hearing aids, reaffirming the commitment to transform lives with concrete actions that prioritize inclusion and well-being.
