Mérida, Yucatán — Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena visited the filming set of the movie “Pedro Pan,” where he held a cordial meeting with renowned actor Andy García, who is shooting his scenes in Yucatán.
During the tour, he also spoke with producer Carlos José Álvarez and director Richie Adams, who are responsible for this significant film production.
The delegation was received by the production team, with whom the Governor, accompanied by Tourism Secretary Darío Flota Ocampo, held a detailed conversation about the progress of the film and working conditions at the Yucatecan locations, highlighting the professionalism of the team and the state’s potential for future productions.
Díaz Mena expressed his gratitude to the production team and, especially, to Andy García for choosing Yucatán as the site to develop part of this film, emphasizing the beauty and historical value of the Mérida locations used for the production.
On this day, filming took place at the Quinta Montes Molina facilities, one of the emblematic venues on Paseo de Montejo, reaffirming Yucatán as an attractive destination for national and international audiovisual projects.
