Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena has provided over 400 laptops to 13 state-run high schools, aiming to enhance students' access to digital resources and develop their digital skills. This initiative is part of his efforts to strengthen digital culture in senior high schools across Yucatan.

The laptops were distributed at State High School No. 10 “Rubén H. Rodríguez Moguel” in Ciudad Caucel. The distribution represents an investment of 5.7 million pesos in the education of the next generation. The laptops are equipped with necessary tools and strategies for classroom use.

Governor Díaz Mena stressed that these laptops are not just tools, but opportunities for students to access a better education and open more doors in life. He encouraged students to take good care of the devices and use them wisely.

The governor reassured that this is a step towards better education and that his administration's efforts will not stop here. He is committed to training teachers, expanding technological infrastructure, and ensuring that the equipment benefits the students.

He expressed gratitude to President Claudia Sheinbaum for her support to Yucatan and its people, particularly through significant projects like modernizing Puerto Progreso, strengthening the Maya Train, and housing initiatives.

Governor Díaz Mena also highlighted his government's strategy, Allies for Life, which encourages young Yucatecans to lead healthy lives with access to education, culture, and sports, aiming to prevent them from falling into addiction and crime.

Juan Balam Várguez, head of the State Education Secretariat (Segey), stated that this laptop handover represents an opportunity for young people to build life projects based on current technological trends. The event was attended by the director of State Preparatory No. 10 "Rubén H. Rodríguez Moguel", Arnold Pacheco Ceballos, Fryda Valentina Notario Martínez, a student of the host school, Deputy Secretary for Upper Secondary Education, Miguel Ángel Pech Estrella, and the directors of the state schools.
