Gino Segura Leads 2027 Quintana Roo Governor Race

Quintana Roo, Mexico — The electoral process to define the next governor of Quintana Roo in 2027 is beginning to take shape, with a clear leader emerging in voter preferences. Recent analyses based on a poll conducted by Electoralia show that Senator Eugenio “Gino” Segura Segura has consolidated a dominant position among the state's potential candidates, obtaining 46 percent support in one of the main measurements. This result reflects strong backing for the political project of the Morena party, which continues to grow in the entity.

In an internal party scenario, Gino Segura also stands out as the favorite to represent his party in the contest, with 32 percent of the vote intention in that category. He is followed by aspirants such as Ana Patricia Peralta, with 22 percent, Rafael Marín, with 15 percent, and Marybel Villegas, with 8 percent. However, 23 percent of Morena sympathizers have not yet defined their internal preference, indicating potential for consolidation in the coming months.

By party, Morena maintains its predominance in the voting intention of Quintana Roo residents, with 46 percent support from the electorate. In second place is the PAN with 14 percent, followed by Movimiento Ciudadano with 9 percent, and the PRI with 8 percent. Indecision remains significant, with 19 percent of the population yet to define their political preference.

The poll was conducted between October 16 and 20, 2025, with a sample of 2,500 interviews carried out using combined methodologies of telephone and social media, guaranteeing the representativeness of the population sample. The trend reaffirms the positioning of Gino Segura and the strength of the Morena party in the state, factors that will mark the course of the electoral contest in the coming years.
