Mérida, Yucatán — The State Government has launched the "Wellbeing Stay" program, an initiative designed to provide free lodging, food, and basic services to family members of patients at the Dr. Agustín O'Horán General Hospital.

Program Details and Services

The program offers 46 rooms, divided between men and women, each equipped with beds, sheets, and personal hygiene facilities. In addition to lodging, it provides three daily meals: breakfast from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., lunch from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., and dinner from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Nursing services for minor injuries are also available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Access and Objectives

Adults from any municipality in the state who accompany hospitalized or outpatient patients can access the program. To enroll, they must present official identification and a receipt issued by the hospital's social work department. The initiative seeks to alleviate the expenses of families throughout Yucatán during medical treatments and appointments at the busiest hospital in the state.
