Four individuals detained by authorities in connection with a homicide in Chetumal, Quintana Roo.

Chetumal, Mexico — Authorities in Quintana Roo have arrested four people for their alleged involvement in a murder and dismemberment that occurred in Chetumal in December 2025.

The State Prosecutor’s Office confirmed the arrests of Alan Francisco “N”, Jesús “N”, Mya Yoany “N”, and Gabriela “N”. They face charges of aggravated homicide in connection with the crime in the Othón P. Blanco municipality.

Police made the arrests using coordinated warrants. Officers detained Alan Francisco “N” in Mérida, Yucatán, with support from state authorities, and located Jesús “N” in Playa del Carmen. Mya Yoany “N” and Gabriela “N” were already in custody at the state capital’s prison center on drug-related charges.

According to the investigation file, the incident took place in Chetumal after Mya Yoany “N” allegedly lured the victim to a property rented through a digital platform. Once there, Jesús “N” and Alan Francisco “N” are accused of killing the individual. The suspects then dismembered the body, placed the remains in suitcases, and, with Gabriela “N”‘s alleged assistance, abandoned them in a rural area of the municipality.

Officials have turned the four suspects over to a judge, who will determine their legal status within the constitutional timeframe. The investigation remains ongoing.
