Cancún — A control judge has indicted Roberto “N”, also known as “Puebla”, after the State Attorney General’s Office presented evidence linking him to the disappearance of two individuals, a man and a woman, whose names remain confidential.
According to the investigation file, in the early hours of February 22, 2020, several armed individuals entered a bar located in Supermanzana 19 and forcibly took the victims. The Specialized Attorney’s Office for Combating Disappearance Crimes provided data that helped establish the possible involvement of the accused.
Background and Activity of the Detainee
Initial proceedings indicate that one of the victims worked for Roberto “N”, who had given them two properties. These locations were searched and secured by the Attorney’s Office, which reportedly caused a conflict between them.
Roberto “N” served as a municipal and ministerial police officer. His name was included in the Quintana Roo Crime Atlas due to the level of risk he represented and his alleged connection to disappearance cases.
Preventive Detention During the Process
During the hearing, the prosecution presented the collected evidence to the judge. The authority determined his indictment and imposed preventive detention while the judicial process advances.
